What does your number mean? The number of metal parts inside me…just kidding but not by much

How long have you been skating? 2 years

When did you join derby? Officially, Feb 2009

How did you get involved in derby? Life comes in 3′s so Scarlett recruited me through Darwin, Pork Pie invited me to come to Fresh Meat, and I went to a game all within one months time

Signature move: Falling, but I can do a mean derby stance

What role do you play behind the scenes? I’m on the sponsorship , coaching & grievance committee and help wherever needed

Pre-bout ritual: Frequent use of the restroom because I drank lots of water

Motivational quote: “Fall 7 times Get up 8″ or “Suck it Up” and no I didn’t plagiarize from the Nike ad. It’s from a Japanese proverb (the Fall 7 times not the suck it up quote).

Derby heroes: Annie Maul and Bella Fire

What makes you have instant respect for a derby skater? Happy skater willing to teach others your skills

What do you do outside of derby? Too much to be great at one thing but I try to be a mom, corporate chef, part restaurant worker, volunteer on several professional organizations.

Favorite derby moment so far? Skating with KCRW when they came for a boot camp back in 09. I wasn’t even on the team yet and they invited me to play a jam with them

Favorite derby teams? still undecided but the Heartbreakers were pretty awesome, I gotta say.

If you could remove one penalty from the game what would it be? Would have to agree on the previous suggestions of “Ref discretion”

What advice would you like to give up and coming derby players? Once you get past the intimidating scariness of the sport, it’s just plain old fun and gets into your blood.

Derby awards? Skater of the Month, is that even an award..?

Where are you from? Laos, but here too.

How long have you lived here? Off and on for 20 years

What keeps you here? Family.

Animals? We have a wannabe dog, Roscoe he’s a 7lbs aggressive Chihuahua
