As many of you know, the amazing and dashing ladies and gents of Northwest Arkansas Roller Derby held a fundraising event to help fund their All-Star team’s upcoming tournament event, Governor’s Cup, hosted by Assassination City in Dallas, TX on January 27th.

A large crowd attended this event which consisted of the roller girls and various members of the league as well as friends, family, sponsors, and fans. At this fundraising event, much thanks to YOU great fans, NWARD was able to raise $500 to fund their travels next weekend!

We couldn’t have done this without all of you. We hope that you had a great time skating with us and will be able to come again soon.

You can also help the league by purchasing a season pass or ticket to our upcoming bout on January 22nd on our website.

Thanks to a generous donation and the purchase of a few dates with roller girls from our fantastic sponsors at Macadoodles, there is no doubt that we will make it to Dallas and back all in one piece.

NWA Roller Derby joins 6 others in The Governor’s Cup 2012!

The Coliseum at Fair Park – Dallas, TX

For the first time ever, Governors Cup will be hosted by Assassination City Roller Derby, and held right in the heart of downtown Dallas!  Two action packed days of roller derby with teams from Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Oklahoma.  Join us for fun-filled weekend of derby action, vendors, and of course, some great after party locations on both days.

Bouts will be played all day, followed by a rockin’ after party at location TBD!

Sunday, Jan. 29th, 2011
9:00am-5:00pm
Bouts all day, ending with the championship, and of course, another rockin’ after party!

Season Tickets On Sale Now!

We’ll be playing 6 homes games this season and we would love for you to attend! With this season pass, you are able to attend all home bouts, have first entry, have premiere seating, and get a free t-shirt from our merch booth. What a deal! Once placed on the Will-Call list as a season pass holder you will be given your pass at your first bout. No further action is needed. (Other than picking out your free t-shirt of course!)

Fresh Meat Boot Camp

Beginning August 28th NWA Roller Derby will begin their Fresh Meat Boot Camp, an 8-week roller derby training program

Interested? Come to our Meat & Greet at Starlight Skatium during Thursday’s Adult Open Skate on Thursday August 18 and Thursday August 25.

Fresh Meat Boot Camp practices are from 4:15-5:45 and the cost is $5 per session.
