Fayetteville, AR — On Saturday, June 6, Northwest Arkansas Roller Derby will present their last competitive home game of the season with a double header at Starlight Skatium in Fayetteville. They will host teams from two visiting leagues for a night of fast-paced, competitive gameplay.
The first game will feature the NWA Natural Disasters against the Central Arkansas Roller Derby Queens and it will be the first meet up of these two teams. “The Natural Disasters are coming off a win from our last game and we are determined to keep building on the teamwork we’ve shown this season,” says Natural Disasters captain Kat Krash Fever.
The second game will be a WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) sanctioned match up with the NWA Roller Derby All-Stars, currently ranked #77 of over 200 teams in WFTDA, taking on the Oklahoma Victory Dolls All Star Squad, ranked #46 in WFTDA. These two teams faced off earlier in the season, with OKVD taking the win. “We have learned a lot with our travels and competition this season and we are excited to bring our A game to this upcoming bout,” says NWA All-Stars captain Rusty Guillotine.
The doors will open at 5pm, with the game starting at 6pm at Starlight Skatium located at 612 N College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tickets are $10, and children 5 years and under get in free with a paid adult. The beer garden, sponsored by Core Brewing Company, will be open at 5pm.
